Fantastically Flourishing and Fun!

In other words, our most successful charity event ever!

On November 9, more than 100 people mingled at our 2025 year-end fundraiser, where they heard about the important work of the Takoma Foundation while socializing with Board members, friends and neighbors, and even getting to make some new acquaintances.

Among the speakers were Cam Crockett from the Standby Guardian Project and GiGi Meshesha with the Maple Tree Group.

In addition to telling the crowd about their crucial activities in the Greater Takoma area—respectively, helping children whose parents have been deported, and aiding recent arrivals to our area who are part of the local Ethiopian community—Cam and Gigi also described how valuable the Foundation’s financial support has been to their organizations.

The response has been gratifying and many people have contributed generously. But…there’s always a but…the Takoma Foundation still needs your help. In our last grant cycle we were only able to fund half of the deserving applicants.
