A New Look for Belle Ziegler Park
Next time you're in Belle Ziegler Park, check out the unique wood bench created by Takoma Park's master wood carver Jim Calder (www.wizzardofwood.com). The design includes a turtle and a bear.
The Foundation helped to underwrite the project, which was conceived of by Takoma Plays and Art for the People. Here's a photo of 2011 Azalea Award winner Pat Rumbaugh ("The Play Lady") and the bench. Pat says that a formal dedication ceremony will be held in the spring, so make sure to visit www.takomaplays.org for more information about all of the activities organized by this wonderful community group.
