Who is Crossroads?
It’s the farmers, the food vendors, and all the other small business owners who come together each week, and we are thrilled to tell their amazing stories. This summer, Crossroads Community Food Network staff and participants collaborated with Meridian Hill Pictures to create short docs about three recent graduates of our Microenterprise Training Program who are now helping Crossroads to build up our local food system, right here in Takoma Park.
Armed with just an iPad, Rosa, Nancia, and Marioli explain in their own words how they defied astounding odds to start their own businesses. These three local food heroes are nourishing people on a deeper level at Crossroads Farmers Market and beyond.
